Background & Challenge

Our customer aimed to develop a top-performance handheld gimbal for professional short-video creators and photographers. Their device needed to power three high-torque brushless motors simultaneously for ultimate stabilization, supporting both smartphones and light action cameras. The challenge was to provide sufficiently high voltage within the gimbal's limited, elongated handle space to ensure rapid motor response and ample torque, while also guaranteeing at least 8 hours of continuous operation to meet a full day of on-location shooting demands.

 

Our Solution

We provided a high-performance 7.4V 1450mAh Li-Polymer Battery Pack

 

Higher Voltage Platform: The 7.4V voltage directly meets the motor drive circuit's need for higher operating voltage, delivering robust instantaneous power without a boost circuit. This ensures quick motor start-up and smooth rotation with no torque dead zones.

 

Excellent Energy Density: Despite its compact size, the precisely calculated 1450mAh capacity supports over 8 hours of continuous operation under standard load, eliminating users' battery anxiety.

 

High-Rate Discharge Performance: The battery supports continuous 1C discharge rates, easily handling instantaneous high-current demands generated by motors during rapid tracking or resisting external shocks, with stable voltage output.


 Integrated Smart Protection Circuit: The battery pack (PACK) incorporates a precise Battery Management System (BMS) providing over-charge, over-discharge, over-current, short-circuit, and cell balancing protection, ensuring the two cells work in sync safely and reliably.
