Beyond Range Anxiety: BAK’s 6.5Ah “Energy Capsule” Delivers Unprecedented Density & Power for Next-Gen Robots

Jan 06, 2026 |BAKTH

BAK Battery Co., Ltd. (“BAK”) has officially launched a new power battery product designed for high-performance robotics—the “BAK 6.5Ah Energy Capsule.” This release aims to provide core power support for “boundless” innovative applications in fields such as service robots, industrial AGVs/AMRs, and special-purpose robots, through its breakthrough energy density and stable, efficient output performance.

Traditional robot power solutions are often constrained by battery size, weight, endurance, and charging efficiency, limiting design flexibility and operational boundaries. BAK’s “Energy Capsule,” in a compact cylindrical form factor (model 21700), achieves a high capacity of 6.5Ah, with energy density significantly leading similar industry products. This not only means longer “standby” and “operation” time for robots within the same space but also allows robot designers greater freedom for structural optimization, enabling more lightweight and compact product designs.

Beyond high capacity, the “Energy Capsule” incorporates BAK’s advanced technologies in electrochemical materials and battery management systems. It features excellent rate performance and fast-charging capabilities, meeting robots’ demands for instant high power and rapid energy replenishment. The product has also passed rigorous safety and cycle life tests, ensuring high reliability and long-term durability in complex and variable working environments.

“We believe true robotics innovation should not be bound by power constraints,” stated a Senior Vice President at BAK Power. “This ‘Energy Capsule’ is more than just a battery; it is a key we are providing to our partners to unlock the potential for robots in broader scenarios, with longer endurance and more complex tasks, driving the entire industry toward ‘boundless applications.’”

The product has begun sampling to key robotics customers and has received positive feedback. As it integrates into various robotic platforms, it is expected to accelerate the adoption and enhance the efficiency of robots in commercial cleaning, logistics delivery, security inspection, home services, and many other emerging fields.
